Google Search Console.
Google's free report on how your site appears in its results: which queries showed it, how many pages are indexed, and what it could not crawl.
Why it matters.
It is the only place you can see whether Google has actually indexed a page, as opposed to guessing from a search. The indexing report is the one to watch: "Discovered — currently not indexed" means Google knows the page exists and has chosen not to fetch it, which is a different problem from a page it fetched and rejected.
How to check it yourself.
Open the Page indexing report and compare "Indexed" with the number of pages you have published. The gap, and the reason listed beside it, is your actual SEO to-do list.

Where does your
own site land?
Everything above came from opening real websites. Yours takes ten seconds: we load it the way a customer would and say what we find, including when the honest answer is that nothing needs doing.
